All about Scott St. Gelais
Scott started his passion for computers back in the early '90's when he went back
to school for computer aided drafting (CAD). Within days of starting classes, he
got his first computer (a 286 running DOS 5) and life for him has never been the
same. By the time Scott finished school, he had two computers and setup a token-ring network
(used before Ethernet).
Scott worked on workstations and servers in the Architectural community for thirteen years as a system
administrator and/or IT manager. He started IT consulting in his off-hours in
2001. Then in 2008, the building industry collapsed, leaving
Scott unemployed. Having done IT consulting in his off-hours for years, Scott
decided to do it full-time and started Geeks in Phoenix.
Over the years Scott has strived to keep Geeks in Phoenix up to date with emerging technologies. In fact, Geeks in Phoenix is a proud member of the Microsoft Partner Network and an Intel Technology Provider Gold Partner. And Scott recently completed the IT Support Professional Certificate by Google on Coursera.
