Meet the owner of Geeks in Phoenix.
Scott started his passion for computers in the early '90s when he went back to school for Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD). Within days of starting classes, he got his first computer (a 286 running DOS 5 and Windows 3.1), and life for him has never been the same. By the time Scott finished school, he had two computers and set up a token-ring network (used before Ethernet).
Scott worked as a system administrator and/or IT manager on Windows-based workstations and servers in the architectural community for thirteen years. He started IT consulting in his off-hours in 2001. Then, in 2008, the building industry collapsed, leaving Scott unemployed. Having done IT consulting in his off-hours for years, Scott decided to do it full-time and started Geeks in Phoenix.
Over the years, Scott has strived to keep Geeks in Phoenix updated with emerging technologies. Geeks in Phoenix is a proud member of the Microsoft Partner Network and an Intel Technology Provider Gold Partner. Scott recently completed the IT Support Professional Certificate from Google on Coursera.
